How can someone SORT of die from SOMETHING?? It doesn’t happen. When it comes to death and poison, it’s either toxic or it’s not. How can a substance be sort of deadly?? Maybe if we’re talking about prescription Fentanyl/ morphine-like opioids, then there are risks involved. But, how can ‘associated’ and ‘characteristics’ of DEATH actually be allowed to be a legitimate description or cause for any death?
For example, this is an excerpt from this FALSE ARTICLE containing nothing but LIES, regarding Kratom and ‘associated deaths’. First of all they give it a scary headline to make you believe it’s Kratom alone that’s causing these deaths, when in fact ..later in the article it says that it involves poly drug use of deadly drugs and UNDERLYING HEALTH CONDITIONS are to blame.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? There are no reports showing death as a result of Kratom alone, so WHY is Kratom always to blame? Why is Kratom being blamed for someone’s death when they have underlying health problems and were ingesting DEADLY DRUGS WITH IT?!?! (((((HELLO))))) Whatever happened to COLD HARD FACTS AND THE ACTUAL EVIDENCE? There is NONE HERE. There is NO EVIDENCE OR PROOF showing that Kratom was to blame.
Instead of being innocent until proven guilty, Kratom is ALWAYS to blame and ALWAYS guilty until proven innocent. CORRECTION ~ Even when there is evidence showing there were deadly drugs taken with Kratom, they will ignore that and blame Kratom. My question is how can this be legal, to keep spreading this kind of false, inaccurate information ..across America? They are further discouraging people and preventing them from giving this plant a try.
How can Kratom be to blame, if a person who has high blood pressure and heart problems decides to ingest deadly drugs, along with his Kratom and then dies?? That would be like saying John Doe drank 4 cups of coffee, shot up with heroin, and overdoses.. and then the coroner blames the caffeine for his death. That would be completely NEGLIGENT ON HIS PART, NOT TO MENTION INACCURATE AND FALSE.
When it comes to Kratom, Mitragyna Speciosa THIS is what we are dealing with. In a court of law these so-called medical examiners, doctors, or scientists don’t have a leg to stand on without actual factual evidence. How about producing lab values with numbers and medians to back up your so-called death claims.
That brings me to ‘death claims’. We aren’t supposed to be making health claims when it comes to Kratom. Therefore, the DEA, FDA, medical professionals, and media should not be able to make death claims without any evidence. If Kratom is to blame for deaths in the past then where are the actual toxicology reports and lab medians they got this information from??
Because as to date, there has been no documentation or record of any death, as a result of Kratom, alone. POLYSUBSTANCE ABUSE IT STATES. They cannot present this in a court of law or anywhere in hopes of banning this plant without lab values and documentation of the numbers/medians they are claiming. It should be unlawful to blame something or someone without any actual factual evidence to back it up. Where is the proof? There isn’t any scientific data that proves Kratom to cause respiratory depression and again this is poly drug use. They tell us that we cannot make health claims. Well, they shouldn’t be able to make any death claims either.
How about lying? Isn’t it unlawful to produce false information purposely to mislead a majority of people?? In a court of law we have to swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth, so help me GOD. Well, what about when reporting the news or an informative health-related article??
In any court of law they cannot get away with death claims such as this without blood tests to back up those numbers/medians.
How can they? It would seem that they have no leg to stand on when it comes to it. I want to see lab results and documentation of these lab values. Where are they getting this information. It must be documented if they are coming up with these values or medians etc. Where is the proof and evidence of what they claim.
My question is how can this be LEGAL? To carelessly throw around ‘death claims’?? Shouldn’t these people of power have to be held accountable and answer to someone above them? How about the Supreme Court.
Mac Haddow with the American Kratom Association is working hard across this country to keep Kratom legal. They’re progressing to enact the Kratom Consumer Protection Act on the federal level, which will protect consumers and the general public with safety standards, guidelines, and practices regarding this plant. We must keep standing up for our rights as American citizens and holding these people accountable to a higher level of decency. Our livelihoods depend on it. Please don’t be fooled by these misleading headlines. It’s what they want. Because the fewer people who know the truth about Kratom, means more money in their pocket and less they have to worry about. More control they will have over YOU and YOUR LIVES, so you will be at the mercy of Western Medicine. By the way, how’s that working for us? People are suicidal and turning to the streets for opioid replacement therapy in hopes of controlling their out-of-control pain; thanks to the government and CDC cutting most of America off from their effective medication regimens.
Treated like drug addicts for legitimately needing pain relief, now they want us to suffer and not even have an holistic alternative?? One that is actually proven to be SAFE with no history of death or overdose?? Don’t you see something is not right here?? It’s not adding up. Do your own research. I double dog dare ya! Try and find an actual toxicology report and blood tests to back up their values and medians regarding Kratom death. Feel free to comment this in the space I’ve provided below.

I second this article, although the way I would’ve put it would be much more direct, much more confrontational. I’ve taken both regular kratom and kratom extract tablets, and both provide effective pain relief. I will say that I prefer the extracts only because it’s two tablets maximum, but either will work just fine for you as long as you odn’t have a reaction to all that plant fiber, which a few people have had. As for the health claims, I’m fairly sure, that the only limitation is that people can’t say that kratom is just like hydrocodone or oxycodone or such, but we can say that it has opioid analgesic, in other words pain killing effects similar to opioids, since that has been backed up by science. Also anti depressive, muscle relaxant, and possibly immunostimulant and antioxident effects. I velieve taht’s how the law works but I am no expert. I support the KCPA both state and federal versions, but I do worry about all that language to soothe the DEA, they got a few things in there that I don’t care for, like no impermissible health claims, that just muddies the waters and makes americans have to work for info they should alreary have. I won’t say it is a full blown conspiracy but I will say that somebody’s up to something, they want to protect rehab centers and doctors ability to prescribe opioids without this plant getting in the way. Rehab centers should be able to operate and doctors should be able to prescribe pain killers. But so should kratom, for those that want it. I also have a serious problem with probation departments and perole deartments testing for kratom, what happens when convicts and former convicts need pain reef but the usuel OTC stuff doesn’t cut it? I can just hear the bureaucrats now, shrug, we dunno nothin it’s our policy, surely your pain is not that bad, if it is go to a doctor. It’s how they think.
